About the Programme

Recognising Excellence Across the Travel Ecosystem

Founded in 2021 in Dubai, the International Travel Awards is an independent, merit-based recognition programme celebrating excellence in travel, hospitality and tourism. It is organised by Golden Tree Events LLC and forms one of the four flagship programmes under the Hospitality Awards umbrella.

Every result is decided by an independent jury of travel and hospitality professionals against published criteria — there is no public voting. Winners are honoured at an annual black-tie gala in Dubai.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

The International Travel Awards is entirely merit-based. Nomination fees cover participation and administration only — winners are decided purely by an independent jury scoring each entry against six published criteria, and no payment level ever influences the outcome.
Guest reviews are unverified, aggregated opinions with no fixed scoring method, while a Travel Awards win is decided by an independent jury assessing documented evidence — service excellence, quality, innovation, sustainability, brand impact and integrity — against the same published criteria used for every nominee.
Yes. Categories are segmented by property type and size — luxury, boutique, business, resort and villa — so an independent hotel is judged against genuinely comparable peers, not against unrelated global brands.
Yes. Recently opened properties can enter dedicated new-property categories alongside the standard property-type categories.
Yes. Sustainability is one of the six weighted judging criteria (15% of every score), and the category list includes dedicated sustainable-hospitality recognitions.
Nominations typically include guest satisfaction data, relevant certifications, service or sustainability case studies, and recent professional photography — the more specific and verifiable the evidence, the stronger the jury's assessment.
Yes. Individual properties and multi-property management companies can both be nominated — a hotel group is welcome to enter flagship properties individually as well as the group itself in the Hotel Management Company categories.
Yes. The International Travel Awards covers the full travel ecosystem — hotels and resorts, airlines, cruise lines, travel agencies, tour operators, DMCs and tourism boards — each judged within its own dedicated categories.
