About the Programme

Celebrating Culinary Excellence Worldwide

The International Restaurant Awards celebrates extraordinary achievement across the global restaurant and hospitality industry. Organised by Golden Tree Events LLC, it forms one of the four flagship programmes under the Hospitality Awards umbrella.

Every result is decided by an independent jury of culinary and hospitality professionals against published criteria — there is no public voting. Winners are honoured at an annual black-tie gala in Dubai, alongside industry leaders from every corner of the dining world.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Every nomination is scored by an independent jury of culinary and hospitality professionals against six published criteria — service excellence, quality, innovation, sustainability, brand impact and integrity. There is no public voting.
No. Nomination fees cover participation, verification and administration only; a higher-priced package simply allows entry into more categories or programmes, and has no bearing on the jury's decision.
Nomination packages range from around USD 299 for a single category up to USD 1,750 for multi-programme, multi-category participation.
Michelin stars are awarded by anonymous inspectors judging cuisine alone, and listicles are typically unverified editorial opinion — the International Restaurant Awards instead scores each nominee against six published, weighted criteria covering service, quality, innovation, sustainability, brand and integrity, making it a distinct, transparent form of recognition rather than a competing ranking.
Yes. Categories span quick-service restaurants, casual dining, cafés and coffee brands, cloud kitchens, and specialty cuisine concepts, alongside fine dining and luxury restaurant categories.
Yes. The Executive Chef of the Year category recognises the culinary leader personally, independent of any award the restaurant itself may also win.
Guest feedback can support a nomination as evidence, but the outcome is always decided by the independent jury's scoring against the published criteria, not by review-site aggregates.
The organising team verifies eligibility and submitted details, the independent jury scores the entry against the published criteria, and results are announced at the annual gala in Dubai.
